I also have another big passion to support research and awareness of ovarian cancer. My daughter was diagnosed with a rare ovarian cancer at 16 years old, which previously had received no research. I founded Rare Ovarian Cancer Incorporated more fondly known as ROC Inc in 2018. Since then, we have initiated the world first research for Juvenile Granulosa Cell Tumour (jGCT) with our research partner at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne, Australia.
Ovarian cancer affects females of all ages, the youngest in our research in Australia was diagnosed at 11 months old.
The research is to help identify mutations that could lead to treatment options and my biggest wish of all a cure.
